For women over 50 who have chosen layered bob haircuts, they have been able to enjoy a smooth, easy-to-maintain texture that is achievable with volumes that move in their hair. On finer hair, this type of hair is particularly flattering because it can create an illusion of volume and density.
Canadian hairstylist and salon owner Tammie Axworthy shares her insights on how to achieve the perfect layered bob. “When you visit your stylist, ask them:
- What will the length be? best flatters my face shape ?
- What products do I need to maintain this look at home?
- How will layers affect my hair routine?
To achieve a layered bob look According to Axworthy, it is much better to use hot tools which give wavy or straight effects accompanied by a thermal protector to not damage your locks Completely, finish drying with a round brush that is wide enough to smooth the ends and extend the life of the style.
Axworthy suggests younger women like layered cuts, with less hair in the back and hair growing out on the sides; she suggests a lob (long bob) for more styling versatility.
