Termites have all the characteristics of a pest; they can destroy the foundation of your house, eat through any wooden frame and even worse is that the damage they cause is often times noticed when it’s too late.

Here are the methods to employ if you want to protect your home structure from the damages caused by termites:
- If you already have an infestation, then visit a garden shop and order a number of well-starved nematode worms. Once you get home, place them near the termites’ station. They’ll find their way into the termites’ eggs and gobble everything in less than 2 days.
- Keep the house dry all the time.
- Sprinkle boric acid in all the infestation areas.
- Seal all the cracks that lead into you house using caulk.
- Try keeping wood away from your home.
Then once in a while, take all the furniture and wooden items outside to be blown by air. If termites are hiding on the wooden structure of your furniture, they’ll be forced to flee since they prefer dark places.
