Use Some Repellent

There are some very effective sprays and powders you can place at strategic points in your home to keep cockroaches from getting in and causing an infestation.

Use Cockroach Spray

Pesticide sprays can eliminate cockroaches faster and even provide a kind of protection by killing them even long after application.

Make Use of Baits and Traps

Once those roaches have found their way into your home, one way you can eliminate them is to use cockroach traps.

They are very effective as they still keep reducing the roach population for up to three months after application. The feed on the bait attracts the cockroaches, kill them as well as their eggs and the entire population in their habitats. These baits are more effective when placed near their breeding spots such as underneath sinks and drainages.

However, despite not emitting harmful gases, cockroach baits may be harmful to pets when consumed.

Bomb Them Out!

If you wish to keep your new home free of those pests before moving in, or you can’t seem to track their niche, simply employ the use of a cockroach bomb. This method of eliminating cockroach is quite on the stressful side because you’ll need to carefully follow the instructions that come with its use. Space where it is being used also needs to be evacuated for a couple of hours and then ventilated for an extra half hour before being occupied. Food items, toys and sensitive items should be covered during the use of a cockroach bomb. Those who react to certain chemicals should also avoid the use of cockroach bombs as they leave behind some residue that can last up to 12 weeks. Read more on the next page
